We are traveling to Montana this summer to visit some friends, and we wanted to find an activity that that the whole family can participate together. My girlfriend suggested fly fishing. I never even heard of fly fishing. You know I am a city girl. My experience with lakes and rivers are limited. My husband was excited so I figured why not. We had to decide where to take the course, and my girlfriend suggested a nice hotel. The hotel had a couple Montana Fly Fishing guides available on their premises. We made our reservation for two days at the lodge, and we are very excited about starting.

Uncomfortable Eyes
February 10th, 2010 — Sports
When my 14 year old little brother decided he had to tag along with me and my friends we all warned him he better have some really good Snowboard Goggles with him or he’ll regret it. We’ve had too many trips down the mountain with someone getting something in their eye because they wouldn’t wear their goggles for protection. Sure enough we take off playing in the snow and it wasn’t 20 minutes later he was complaining of something in his eye. We had to stop and check it out, he was fine but we told him your eyes are way too important not to take care of.

Even The Wheels Are Exciting With The Ripstik
February 6th, 2010 — Sports
One of the most prominent aspects of a ripstik is that even the wheels are cool! In most wheeled devices, the wheels are considered purely utilitarian. They are designed well enough to move smoothly and move fast but no thought at all is given to the way the wheels look. You could say it does not matter anyway; after all, who cares what the wheels of a devise look like? Well, the manufacturers of the Ripstik care and they have gone to great lengths when designing the wheels. These wheels come in a wide array of colors that can be mixed and matched so that you can enhance the looks of your Ripstik and customize it simply by changing the color combination of the wheels.
Fat Gripz Can Help Improve Grip Strength
January 14th, 2010 — Sports
Indeed, fat gripz can help develop the grip strength, endurance and power. Developing the strength of the grip is a helpful tool when it comes to grappling in the environment of a wrestling fight or martial arts. A strong grip will also add snap and power to a punch, giving boxers who practice gripping exercises an extra benefit. During a martial arts or wrestling fights, the one with weak forearms and gripping strength might suffer a wrist injury or worse, end up on the ground with their opponent kicking their face in. Regularly, the key to winning a fight is to keep a vice-like hold on your adversary over an expanded period, and the means in keeping such a hold is to enhance extraordinary gripping strength.
The First To Use Shock-Absorbing Insole
January 14th, 2010 — Sports
For those who are not familiar with k-swiss sneakers, this was first marketed in 1966 and since it was introduced, it has gained popularity until today. This was the first sneaker that uses a shock-absorbing insole. Although this type can be quite expensive, still many tennis players adored and loved it and it made this product on the top of the list when it comes to manufacturing shoes. If you will notice there is a stripe on the classic model and it has a purpose, the purpose is to prevent the shoe from getting stretch and this is for durability and reliability. This is a good choice for everyone.
We Bought New Snowboard Boots
January 11th, 2010 — Sports
I was out with my kids last night and we were just going to be browsing at the sporting goods store. I certainly did not foresee that we would be shopping and actually coming home with so many bags of new things. My kids talked me in to buying them all new snowboard boots and they really did have a great point, I had to admit. It was the time of year when the selection was so good and they all found the size that they needed. Later in the season, it can be more of an issue to get what we need.
Not Just A Boy’s Sport Anymore
January 9th, 2010 — Sports
I was really surprised to hear that our gym is going to start giving women boxing lessons. I think it would be wonderful exposure to a sport that is up and coming. They are not making us buy the boxing gloves, we can borrow theirs. I think I was probably one of the first ones to sign up for it because I’ve been following the sport for quite a while now. Women’s mixed martial arts is also a fast growing sport. I don’t know that I could ever be as good as those girls are, but I’m looking forward to learning the basics.
New and Improved Triathlon Wetsuits Coming Out
December 28th, 2009 — Sports
Technology for sports is progressing at a pretty rapid rate. I have seen the triathlon wetsuit progress from a fairly simple design to a speed suit that can hardly be matched anymore. This is considered good and bad for the sport. The purists don’t think that there should be any advantage for a person except their natural ability but this is hardly the way sports are played anymore. I do agree that it seems a little unfair that a person with more money has a better advantage than the poor triathlete but I guess this probably won’t change any time in the near future.
Daytona Beach is the place to go
December 24th, 2009 — Sports
Many of the bars of Daytona Beach are on the Main Street strip. Two of the draws to Daytona Beach are the yearly events of Bike week, normally held in February or March, and Biketoberfest, as you’d guess in October. Bikers from all over the country and world converge on Daytona Beach for a few days of booze, bikes and babes. A great venue for motor cycle racing holidays.
During these events they also have something else Dayton Beach is known for - races. They have many races and special events to enjoy and there is normally a swap meet and many vendors out in the parking lot so even if you don’t go into the stadium stop on by and see the sight for yourself.
