As one of the 90+% of Catholic married women who has used birth control pills to avoid unwanted pregnancy advice, might I auggest that the people making the decision are composed solely of unmarried males who simply do NOT have a clue. Birth control was not a direct order of the teachings of Christ or God the Father. and these are the same men, many of whom did not report or do anything about the pedophilia they had been made aware of …. I have verz little to no respect for many Priests today. Again, these Bishops would rather women practice their form of birth control (full laugh here), and do nothing to stop unwanted pregnancies in a human way, NO, the alternative left to many is thus abortion .. are these people REALLY leading most American Catholics today … hardly!!

@Julia Gomez – I didn;t say anything about how long the page takes to load….I am talking about how long it takes to render when it is larger than one display page. EX:When reading the WSJ, on a page with lots of pics, the first part of the page renders, then when you scroll down, you get pixelated gray for a second or two until it refreshes that part of the screen…when you scroll back to what you were on previously, its grayed out and has to render……very poor video memory management and gut slow processing power…..its great for playing Bejewled though….

Obama does not understand market efficiency because he has spent no time in the market or studying the market. But he and those like him think they know more than those who do.

As an orthodox Christian I disagree with the theology of the LDS church but consider them much less of a threat to our Republic than someone who advocates European style socialism and its corresponding atheism

This election is too important for us to use theological differences to aid in the eventual destruction of our Judeo Christian nation.

As a 26 year Special Operations Officer who risked his life many times, I don’t really care about the average Joe trying to impress some girl at a Bar with a medal around his neck or on his chest. A lot of these fakes try to use decorations as a means to seek office or better employment law advice. Government employment gives preference to those with certain decorations. Would you feel harmed if someone gained employment or promotion over you by claiming false accomplishments? If this is just exercising free speech, we should all order on line from Amazon what ever certificate of education that makes us more employable. Why go to college if you think you can fake a profession. Imagine how chaotic society would be if we couldn’t trust that a doctor was a doctor, a pilot was a pilot, a truck driver didn’t have the training or license to drive a big-rig on the highway, a teacher didn’t graduate from high school or college, or an auto mechanic had never turned a wrench in his life? Maybe employment investigation professional is the next great job category. But who will check him or her out to make sure they are qualified to do the job?

Your by the letter of the law approach can be defended. But it should also be applied to Wall Street banksters too who sold toxic paper all across the globe. They deserve far less sympathy than the deluded who bought a house they could not afford. Mitt Romney is unwilling to take the big money boys on.

Poorly thought out logic on the HOV argument. The lane has excess capacity, the wealthy are willing to pay to use that capacity to avoid a traffic jam. Not only does it increase revenue from a fixed asset, it also lessens the traffic jam for everyone else by moving some cars to the HOV lane which wouldn’t otherwise be allowed to dfat travel advice in it. A better solution would be to build more roads, but there doesn’t seem to be the political will to do that anymore.

TSA is a completely different story. An artificial roadblock erected by the government and forced to be inefficient in its function for the sake of political correctness. In that situation, allowing some to buy their way around the jam is totally unacceptable. Unlike the roads, the main jam would be lessened were it not for the fact that a disproportionate number of screeners are dedicated to the elite line (unlike roads, where the HOV lane will be there regardless if whether the state charges people to use it). Every time I travel I wonder why this process is allowed.
